A equipa de Benjamins Sub-11 do Varzim venceu o torneio “Fornos de Algodres Youth Cup 2017, que teve lugar no Estádio Municipal de Fornos de Algodres, uma vila do distrito da Guarda.

O torneio mobilizou centenas de crianças e diversos clubes nacionais tendo sido apadrinhado por vários jogadores, entre os quais, Daniel Candeias que representou o Varzim, na época 2007/2008.
